Muscle Relaxing Injections
There are many brands of Botox on the market, but at Skin Science, we only use FDA-cleared products for cosmetic treatments. Combining these products with many years experience and ongoing training ensures that our clients always achieve a safe, natural and effective result.
Botox treatment targets specific muscles with pinpoint precision, reducing movement by gently and temporarily relaxing them. Subsequently, the skin covering the muscle is allowed time to recover and soften.
Muscle relaxing injections have been used safely for well over 30 years and are an extremely effective treatment to:
- Soften fine lines
- Relax a deep frown
- Lift a heavy brow
- Lift downward turned mouths
- Lower ‘gummy’ smiles
- Soften burnt skin
- Reduce redness associated with rosacea
- Assist with jaw clenching
- Reduce excessive underarm sweating
- Reduce excessive sweating in the hands
- Reduce excessive sweating on the feet
- Reduce excessive sweating on the face
- Reduce the frequency and severity of headaches
During your appointment, we will discuss your preferences and concerns and mark out the areas you would like treated.
Appointments usually take around 20 minutes, with the actual treatment only taking 5 minutes; this simply involves a series of small injections which are very quick and comfortable.
Muscle relaxing injections require no downtime. You’ll be able to return to your usual activities straight away. You will also be given aftercare advice to ensure your treatment achieves the very best results possible.
You may notice a change in the appearance of your skin in as little as a few days, but it can take two weeks or more to see the full results. We will see you for a complimentary review appointment if required, about two weeks later to ensure you achieve the results you’re after.
